Dear Mr. Madden,

Thank you for all the time you must have taken in preparing the Holocaust presentation that our class was fortunate enough to witness.  There will always be a place in this educational system for teachers who are willing to go above the call of duty in order to raise their students' awareness.  The only decent thing to do about the Holocaust is to remember it, and your presentation was an effective aid to that end.

The most powerful image was certainly the lists.  It struck me very quickly that it would take a small piece of one sheet to represent all the people I have ever known in my life.  It gave me an idea of being right in the midst of an ocean of death, a tomb full of too many victims to know. It was chilling.

If I had one criticism of the presentation, it would be that I found the choice of music a bit distancing.  Although the lyrics and themes presented were consistent with the message you were trying to convey, I found that the very modern ness and familiarity of the songs made me feel like I was in a world that was not the same world as the one created by the images on the screen, and it slightly lowered the overall emotional impact of the presentation.

Never forget, never again.  I call that the preventative oath, one that applies to the Holocaust more than anything else in history.  As long as people are willing to put time aside to contribute to the first part, the second becomes natural.  Once again, thank you for that time.

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                    Curtis Luciani
