The Flower Children

The Haight Ashbury section of San Francisco was, for many hippies, the
epicenter of the counterculture movement. In 1967 hundreds of thousands
of young people who called themselves "flower children," "gentle people,"
or "love children" came together in San Francisco for a summer long love in.
The song below, written by John Phillips, reflected the mood of the time.
