   Howdy,

I was born in Bellville, Texas to the proud parents of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Madden.  My father taught and coached at Dulles Jr. High and then went on to become the head principal at Sugar Land Middle School until his retirement.  My mother taught first grade and art at Lakeview Elementary and is now retired as well.   I must consider fate as the true explanation as to why I ventured into education also.  Having wonderful teachers as parents played and continues to play the biggest part in the decision to purse education as my lifelong profession.
I have one older sibling whose name is Mitzi.  She is also an educator but is taking time off to raise three little ones at her home in Copperfield.  She is an inspiration to me in that she confirms the fact that good parenting is the first step in educating our children.
I am a an 86' graduate of William P. Clements High School in Sugar Land.  Upon graduation I entered Texas A&M University
where I received a bachelors degree in history and curriculum and instruction.  I have been teaching 11 years, all of which, have been in Fort Bend ISD.  I recently completed my Master's degree in Mid-management at the University of Houston and will perhaps use it one day to pursue an Administrative position.
I consider teaching my calling and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people and afforded the pleasure to teach and get to know so many wonderful students.  To my students I owe the deepest amount of gratitude.  They are, and will continue to be, my inspiration.
