The Prohibition Era

explanation of this Production.
This Production visits one of the most controversial and frustrating times in history--the Prohibition Era. With the passage of the Volstead Act, alcohol became illegal virtually overnight and cities like Chicago divided into two quarreling camps. On one side you had those who supported Prohibition, and on the other, of course, those who didn't support the new law. With this division came the new "businessman" who sought to supply a demand and gain a fortune. Monitoring their every move came the new "law man" whose sole obligation was to uphold the law. Crime, corruption, heroes and villains play out like a Hollywood movie and make this time in history one of the most fascinating and intriguing Era's of all time.
